The quantity of ingredients used for Veggie Burger is for 4 medium size burger. So, adjust the quantity accordingly…

  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Amchoor powder – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Onion – 1
  • Peas – 1/2 cup
  • Beans – 3
  • Carrot – 1 small
  • Rice (boiled) – 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
  • Potatoes (boiled) – 6
  • Corn starch – 1/2 cup
  • White flour (maida) – 1/2 cup
  • Bread Crumbs – 1 cup
  • Burger bun – 4
  • Mayonnaise
  • Tomato sauce
  • Cabbage
  • Tomato
  • Onion
  • Cucumber

Steps to make Veggie Burger

To make patty, put oil in a pan then put some cumin seeds and garlic in the pan mix it well for 2 minutes. Put some red chili powder, amchoor powder, black pepper powder, garam masala, salt and mix again for 1-2 minutes.

Put some finely chopped onions, peas, beans, carrot in that pan and mix all the vegetable and spices for 2-3 minutes. Add some boiled rice and coriander leaves in that pan and mix again for a minute.  Put 6 boiled potatoes and mash the mixture well till it becomes very soft and thick.

The mixture of potatoes and spices to be mashed and mixed very well. After mixing keep the mixture in a fridge or in a cool place.

To make batter take a bowl add some corn starch, white flour, salt, coriander leaves and add some water and mix well till it becomes thick. Take another bowl and put bread crumbs in that bowl. Keep the batter and bread crumb aside.

Remove the potato mixture from fridge and mash it for last time. Make round patty (the size of patty should be same as burger bun). Dip the patty in batter, the patty should be covered by the batter nicely and then put the patty in bread crumbs, the patty should be covered by bread crumbs nicely.

Take some oil in a frying pan and heat the oil in medium-low flame. Put the patty in oil carefully and deep fry the patty till it become golden brown. Take burger bun and slice the bun from between and toast the bun from inside for 2 minutes till it become golden in color.

Spread mayonnaise on below the top layer of burger bun nicely. Put some sliced cabbage, onion, tomatoes, cucumber on top of mayonnaise and place the patty on top of these veggies. Spread some mayonnaise and tomato sauce on another layer of bun and put both the layer on each other.
