Ingredients for Cake

  • All purpose flour – 1.3 cup
  • Cocoa powder – 3/4 cup
  • Granulated sugar – 2 cup
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Baking soda – 1.5 tsp
  • Baking powder – 1.5 tsp
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Egg – 2
  • Oil – 1/4 cup
  • Butter – 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla essence – 2 tsp
  • Warm water – 1 cup

Ingredients for frosting

  • Powdered sugar – 2.3 cup
  • Cocoa powder – 2/3 cup
  • Full fat milk – 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  • Melted butter – 1/2 cup

You can get all the ingredients in a grocery store.

Steps to make Chocolate Cake

Take two 8 inch baking pan lined with butter paper and greased with oil. Pre-heat your oven at 350 degree Fahrenheit or 180 degree Celsius.

In a bowl add flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Ingredients taken as above described, Mix all the ingredients well. Add milk, eggs, oil, butter and vanilla essence. Take a beater and beat well until all the ingredients are mixed well. Add hot boiling water and mix until it become smooth.

Pour half of the mixture on one and half on second pan . Bake it for 25-30 minutes at 350 degree Fahrenheit in an oven. Remove the cake from the pan and peel of the butter paper from it.

For chocolate frosting add powdered sugar in a bowl, cocoa powder, melted butter at room temperature, milk and vanilla essence. Mix them well with a beater until it become smooth. The chocolate frosting is ready to cover the cake. Put frosting on the cake and design accordingly.
